Why we started
Too many learners stall at the same place
Most people who start Korean do the same thing: an app for a few weeks, a grammar book, a video series, then a long pause. Not because Korean is impossible — because nobody connected the pieces in an order that made sense.
Seoul Speak Academy was built to fix that. Lessons move in small, deliberate steps: what you learned last time comes back, a little more is added, and you say it out loud until it belongs to you.
Learning Korean should feel clear, practical, and achievable — one step at a time.
That is the whole idea. No shortcuts, no magic method, just a structure that keeps you moving.
Teaching philosophy

Practical first
Phrases you can say this week come before abstract rules. The grammar follows, once you already recognise what you're looking at.

Clear explanations
If an explanation needs a second explanation, it isn't finished. We use plain language, real examples, and as little jargon as possible.

Supportive pace
Small groups of no more than three mean there is time to be corrected without embarrassment — which is how confidence actually grows.

Hi, I'm Malek
Hi! I'm Malek, the founder of Seoul Speak Academy, based in South Korea. I speak Korean and English, and I want to help learners from around the world build confidence in Korean, one step at a time.
My approach focuses on practical, everyday Korean that you can use in real situations — from introducing yourself and ordering food to shopping, travelling, and having conversations with Korean speakers.
