Why learn with us

Built for learners who want to actually speak

Three things shape every lesson at Seoul Speak Academy.

Learn at your level

Start from the basics or strengthen the Korean you already have. Lessons are adapted to where you are now, not to a fixed textbook pace.

Practise useful Korean

Learn expressions you can use in real conversations — at a shop, a café, on the subway, or when you meet someone new.

Build confidence

Develop your skills through structured lessons, speaking practice, and feedback that tells you exactly what to work on next.

Our classes

Two classes. One step-by-step method.

Both options run three two-hour live classes each week. Choose the group if you learn well alongside others, or private lessons if you want every minute built around you.

Small group

Small-Group Korean

Learn alongside no more than two other students, with guided speaking practice in every class.

$150 / four-week course

12 classes · 24 hours · paid before the course begins

  • 3 classes weekly
  • 2 hours each
  • Maximum 3 students
  • Shared pace
  • Guided conversation practice with a partner
  • A steady weekly routine

Both prices cover one four-week course, paid in full by Wise or PayPal before it begins. Compare both classes in detail.

The learning path

What you'll work through, step by step

Every learner follows the same six building blocks. Where you start and how fast you move depends on your level and your goal.

  1. 1

    Hangul & pronunciation

Read the alphabet and produce sounds that Korean speakers recognise, starting with the letters that trip up English speakers.

  2. 2

    Vocabulary & expressions

Build a working set of words and phrases you can use the same day — ordering, asking, introducing yourself.

  3. 3

    Grammar & sentence building

Learn how Korean sentences are actually assembled, with plain-language explanations instead of jargon.

  4. 4

    Speaking & listening

Repeat, respond, and be corrected in class, so the language moves from your notes into your mouth.

  5. 5

    Everyday conversations

Role-play real situations: a café, a shop, the subway, meeting someone new, asking for help.

  6. 6

    Revision & feedback

Short homework, review at the start of each class, and clear notes on what to practise next.

How enrollment works

From first message to first class

Four simple steps. The form starts a conversation — it does not take payment or book a place automatically.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your goals

Share your Korean level and what you want to achieve: conversation, travel, study, TOPIK preparation, or general learning.

  2. 2

    Choose your class

Compare private and small-group options on the catalog page, then ask anything you want answered first.

  3. 3

    Confirm your place

Agree the class days inside your chosen KST window, read the policies, then pay in full by Wise or PayPal before the course begins.

  4. 4

    Start learning Korean

Join your online lessons, complete short practice tasks, and work steadily toward your goal.

Meet your Korean tutor

Hi, I'm Malek — I'll be your tutor

I'm Malek Rayan, founder of Seoul Speak Academy, based in South Korea. I speak Korean and English, and I want to help learners from around the world build confidence in Korean, one step at a time.

Practical, everyday Korean you can use in real situations — from introducing yourself to ordering food.

Lessons are live on Google Meet: one-to-one for a course built entirely around you, or a small group of no more than three so there is still room to speak.

Inside a lesson

What happens in the two hours

A predictable structure, so you always know what you are practising and why.

  • 01

    Review & warm-up

We start with what you already covered, out loud, so last week's language is still there this week.

  • 02

    New language, explained

One clear point at a time — a phrase, a pattern, or a sound — with examples before rules.

  • 03

    Speak, then correct

Guided practice and role-play, with correction as you go and a short summary of what to revise.

Questions

Before you enroll

Can complete beginners join?

Yes. Beginners start with the fundamentals — Hangul, pronunciation, and the first useful expressions — and build from there step by step. You don't need any prior Korean.

What's the difference between private and small-group lessons?

Private lessons focus on one learner's goals and pace. Small-group lessons involve guided learning with a maximum of three students total, so there is still plenty of time to speak. The curriculum blocks are the same; the pace and the amount of individual correction differ.

How many hours per week are included?

Both class options include three two-hour classes per week, totalling six hours, for four weeks. Classes run inside three windows, all KST (UTC+9): 8:00–10:00 AM, 6:00–8:00 PM, or 10:00 PM–12:00 AM.

Where do the classes happen?

Classes are live online on Google Meet. The joining link reaches you before your first lesson, along with anything you need to prepare.

How long will it take to improve?

Progress depends on your starting level, how consistently you attend, how much you practise outside class, and your own goals. There is no guaranteed timeline — what we can promise is a clear structure and steady feedback.

Do I need to buy textbooks?

Lesson materials are discussed before you start so you know exactly what you need. If anything must be purchased separately, you'll be told before you pay for classes.
